War Artillery Association - April 18 - 20, 2008
At WVU Jackson's Mill
This artillery Qualification and Certification by
the
National Civil War Artillery Association will provide instruction
for the Civil War reenactors in artillery
drill, focusing on a high level of safety. Visitors to the
Historic Area will have the opportunity to observe the
school as part of their regular Historic Area admission.

15th Annual Ramp Cook-off and Festival
April 26, 2008
In Elkins, WV.
A unique celebration of a locally grown herb, the
ramp. Cook-off with a total of $2,200 awarded in prizes,

This Triathlon includes 1000 meter swim, 26 mile bike
and 4 mile run. This is a Set Up Events Triathlon circuit
new event. The event benefits the Lewis County Chamber

while you step back in time and experience some of the marvelous
heritage crafter's demonstrate their work and watch them show their
wares. Listen to the sweet sounds
of live heritage music performances, sip on an ice cold Sarsaparilla,
watch the hand blown glass demonstrations, witness what life was
like in the earlier years. Stroll
through Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson's childhood home,
tour the original grist mill, learn about the history of our country
through the eyes of living history reenactors.

Festival -August 29 to August 31, 2008
At the Jane Lew Fire Department in Jane Lew, WV.

Over 200 talented crafter's gather to exhibit their
works.
The crafter's works utilize glass, wood, leather, dolls

candy, honey, jams & jellies and much more.
Food vendors are also available. All proceeds go to the
Jane Lew Fire Department.
