Glass Fest – April 25 - 27, 2008

At Appalachian Glass in Weston, WV

Starting with a school program on Friday and continuing through the weekend this will be a fun and educational experience for all. Glass blowing demonstrations, food, games, music, other crafter demonstrations and much more.

15th Annual Ramp Cook-off and Festival - April 26, 2008

 In Elkins, WV.

A unique celebration of a locally grown herb, the ramp. Cook-off with a total of $2,200 awarded in prizes, taste-testing, entertainment, crafts, 50/50 drawing and more. Event starts at 10, and ramp tasting begins at 1:45.

West Virginia Strawberry Festival - May 14 - 18, 2008

This annual festival celebrates their 66th year this May. This festival is highlighted with nightly parades, the carnival and of course lots and lots of strawberries. Webster County Wood Chopping Festival - May 22 - 25, 2008

The Southeastern World Championship Woodchopper title is won every year at this annual festival. This festival also host the yearly WV State Fireman's Rodeo and WV State Turkey Calling Championships. Afternoon of Art -
May 31, 2008

The event is being held at West Hall.

Gathering for The Arts Council of Weston from 1pm to 5pm. There will be displays from local artisans, performing arts, visual arts, music, activities for youth. The big event will be the dessert buffet - $5.00 per person. And enter your name for a drawing for dinner for two at Stonewall Resort. Come out and meet the board of directors and get acquainted with others interested in the Arts.
